Hey y'all,
Theres a few things all raids require to suceed, and one of them is addons. So here's a list of some that will be required, and some that I think are spanking good anyway.
Required Add Ons:
Omen Threat Meter
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/9101/Threat meters do one simple thing. They keep track of who the mob/boss is most angry at. You'll need one of these so you can keep your aggro lower than Itsy's and Aurochs aggro. Failure to do so could result in negative consequences. For example, the boss may well tear off your head and beat someone to death with it, for example.
P.S. KTM (or KLH Threat Meter) is also ok, though it isn't as good as Omen in my opinion. However, Omen will accept KTM data and vice versa, so if you have something against Omen, then this will suffice.
Deadly Boss Mods
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4940/Deadly Boss Mods provides you with a set of configureable bars that appear on your screen telling you about certain events and when they're going to happen. This can include Enrage Timers, Boss Abilities, and all sorts of other stuff. A vital piece of raid kit.
Not Required, But Good Mods
Xperl Raid Frames
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/3416/I used to swear by the old Blizzard UI until I tried out my first raid frame and this was it. I haven't changed since. It will genuinely make your game a better place to be, with the ability to move and resize anything in your UI. It also has comprehensive raid frames that allow you to see how much health, mana, buffs, debuffs, and all sorts of other things for the entire of the raid, not just your group. Very useful for healers and decursers, but a good add on for any class.
Recount
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/10598/Recount is your standard damage and healing meter. Its useful to keep an eye on the damage being caused by raid members. This way we can tell if someone's under shooting their damage or if someone else is maybe going too hard. Bear in mind though, DPS is NOT a competition. Its better to down a boss with no deaths than drop him 15 secs quicker with 3 dead DPS-ers.
Mobinfo 2
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/1349/Mobinfo provides info on the health, mana, kills to level, and all sorts of other stats, as well as loot and the drop % said loot has on the standard WoW Mob tooltip. It is damn useful to have, and it gives you a nice heads up on how much health mobs/bosses are likely to have.
Ok, thats it for now. Other suggestions are welcomed, so feel free to post below. I'm pretty hot on all the above addons, so if you have any set up troubles or anything, then feel free to lemme know.
